Signs of discontent !!

The modern  Indian history ,arguably, starts with the 1st war of Independence driven by the disgruntled sepoys. The ways of British Government in handling the lower rung of sepoys is said to have triggered the outbreak. After that, the dynamics of colonial India started changing and culminating with Indian Independence. After the Independence, the partition has redrawn the Indian borders and developed a enmity between the 2 nations which continues to this day. Though taken birth at the same time and adopting Democracy on both the sides, clearly, the Indian side boasts of a coup-less power at the centre till today which may not be the same case on the other side. But, few incidents in the past year have made me doubt this opinion, though only driven by the news paper reports.

Few months back, there was a column in a national news daily that 2 "un-authorized" defence troop movements towards the national capital have been observed and this sighting occurred just a day before the crucial day of hearing on a army major's case have not helped to mute the rumors of a planned coup. Though, the news report has been condemned by both the parties, recent revelations by a highly placed defence officer have brought back the doubts that were earlier put to rest. Clearly, there seems to be a mis-communication between the Government and the forces which was also evident in the first-ever accepted resignation of the Navy admiral. The track record of maintaining India as a democracy is impressive leaving few glitches and being the largest democracy of the world, India should do well to maintain a healthy relationship between it's different wings that together keep India flying through storms and peace.

Change ??

Why are we so conflicted internally? Yes, we are.. From the smallest of things to the most valuable things, we display a behavior that can only be termed "Confused" at best. It is true that India is going through a stage in it's development that could be termed as it's last mile to the zenith. It has all the resources to reach there , only that we are not ready to accept this change if it deviates from a well-trodden path of the past. If you do not believe me , look at the ubiquitous social media , which till last month or so have  been praising the AAP of it's innovative methods and today there are more than 50% of those speaking against it's effusive ways to bring governance. I am not implying even a bit that "Vigilantism" is the right way to go , but I just want to give an example of how conflicted we could be. If a change has to be witnessed , it would mandate that few of the established ways be amended  and at times, may be go over board. How else would the established maladies be rooted out ?

There are many young Indians who think it takes a miracle to change the political discourse of India , I personally feel that there have to be innovation in the methods a political party follows in it's operations , right from campaigning to funding itself.  There are some honest political parties in India before but they stopped at that , they have accepted the same old methods to operate and they were much or less failed to impress. There were some parties which started with a grand vision and also have attempted to attract the people to it's innovative methods but failed , only because India was not ready at that time. Today , there is an attempt to rebuild the political foundation of the nation. What is expected is a little patience, We have tried everything , we have chosen the right, the left , the conservative, why not this one ?

The acts of vigilantism that was reported were under the scanner for the right reasons. Being a honorable Minister, the way chosen by him was questionable while the intention was probably noble. In all, it has it's positives and negatives. But why are we judging so quickly? Give them a benefit of doubt , not once, not twice , may be 100 times?? I don't know. Change is inevitable. The setback in the recent 5-state elections have probably changed the way the Govt. responds both internally and externally. Branded to be a "Soft-state" , it was a humongous change on the part of India to react in the way it has reacted on the issue of it's diplomat's ill-treatment. The scion has also have changed his ways of approaching the people. As one of the newspaper reports there were no escape velocities or shanty beards in the approximately 1-hour speech. So, a change is definitely on the cards. But are we ready yet ?? We better be.

Entrepreneurship in India

One of the most favourable conditions that every one agrees to , for India becoming the developed nation is the demographic advantage it enjoys in the coming years. But the same people also highlight the fact that unless this opportunity is cultured into a practicality through job creation, skill enhancement  and opportunity creation, the fruits cannot be consumed. In this context, GOI has initiated some important programmes in the areas of Innovation and Education.

Innovation can be defined in the Indian context to be a new process or product which helps in making the life of any sector of population productive and fetching. Innovations start with ideas and a good idea,to be successful, should be encouraged. A recent report showing the number of papers published at various international forums confirms that Indians do not lack ideas. But unfortunately , these ideas , though of  Indians , does not benefit India as their origin takes place in foreign countries. One indisputable reason for this 'brain drain' is the lack of opportunities and encouragement in Indian context. To address this unfortunate scenario, Planning Commission of India have formed an expert group on "angel investment and early stage venture capitalism in India ". The report has been submitted by Shri.Sunil Mitra led expert committee in June 2012 and have made an extensive effort to identify and address the problems of  budding entrepreneurs in India.

The title of the report reads "Creating a Vibrant Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in India" indicating that a complete "Ecosystem" is necessary for a success in Entrepreneurship. A typical "Ecosystem" in a market like that of Indian constitutes various elements like finance, entrepreneur-friendly regulations, encouraging societal and familial conditions among others. The report enumerates the stages through which an idea travels in the Indian setting. Typically an Entrepreneur conceives an idea and with some initial investment of his own, builds a prototype of his idea. He then expands his prototype in to a small sized venture with the help pf an incubator(A type of investor). Here after, the investments have to be hefty to scale up and it is in this stage that an entrepreneur  wishes for a supporting environment.

The report identifies 5 important factors for creating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem .viz. Catalytic government policy and regulatory framework, easy access to equity capital and debt, Established businesses as entrepreneurial hubs, culture which encourage entrepreneurship over careerism, Effective and adequate collaboration forums. To meet the above goals, a 'National Entrepreneruship Mission' is recommended on the lines of National Innovation Council. Various roles of this 'mission' are in synchronisation with the goals. Some of the roles recommended for the mission are as follows.

a.The Mission acts as a bridge between various stakeholders such as the Central and state governments, the private businesses, educational institutions etc.

b.While the general approach would be to work in an enabling and coordinating capacity,it would have the lead role in the area of driving the financing part of the ecosystem which is the most critical component.

c.It would also become the nodal point for an entrepreneurship movement and in that capacity, articulate and disseminate the view point of the entrepreneurs amongst all the stakeholders within Government and outside – a capacity that is lacking today.

d.The Mission should ideally be set up under the Prime Minister’s Office which will give it the ability to exercise adequate influence without necessarily, a statutory authority.

e.The Mission would set up appropriate mechanisms and metrics that will allow it to track its impact on the entrepreneurial eco system in the country.

The report also presents some successful case studies of Google and other organisations which have nurtured the talent of Innovation in to a business. According to the employees of Google, One week of a work month is given to them for nurturing their own passions of innovation. The social networking site of "Orkut" was supposed to be an outcome of this "Passion Week" and everyone knows how big a success that site was, for Google.

It was believed that complicated exit regulations and complex entry rules have hampered the ideas in Indian ecosystem. The report quantifies this giving accurate data about the entrepreneurial activity in India today and what would be the outcome if a vibrant ecosystem exists for Indian economy in future. The report also touches the social aspect of India by introducing the terms like "Impact Investing", which could develop both social and financial aspects of Indian economy. Indian economy had hit its zenith in the last few decades owing mainly to IT and ITES sector and this sector ran on the pillars of some tremendous entrepreneurial activity by firms like HCL,Infosys,Bharti and so on. Similar initiatives in other trailing sectors is the need of the hour for Indian economy to become stronger and all-inclusive. Like a sown seed, which requires nurturence in the form of water and manure to sustain, the Innovation policy of India need the support of Entrepreneurship Mission to bear the fruits of human development and economic prosperity.

Gloomy desperation !!

On this unbelievably quite night, With a key board hit silence around me, I slowly escape in to my sleep with the shades of desperation and hope-lessness powering down upon me. After a long struggle with the spirit of frustration, I finally gave up and with the dark light covering me trying to en gulp me in to it while I lay unguarded , partly because i know i cannot win over it and partly because i do not want to.....  But I warn you my evil self, I would wake up more stronger, more energetic, more motivated and more goal seeking and slay you upright . Behold my evil self .. the end is near and you cannot escape me.

Re-Discover your dreams !!

While going through news section, One of the headings have caught my attention and have made me retrospect of all what I wanted to become. The heading read " 57 % of Indian children DO NOT achieve their childhood dreams ". That kept me thinking , Does the figure represent only those children who have tried and not achieved their dreams or is it that anyone who have just dreamt and forgot all about that? If it is the latter, it is an expected figure. Do you think you figure out in those 57 % people ? I hope not but unfortunately many do. What could be the reason for this ? Less opportunities?? Lack of sufficient encouragement by the parents?? Poor Indian economy ?? The mindset we develop as we mature ?? These questions kept lingering in my mind. But I remember some thing my 6th class teacher once said me , "If you want to solve a difficult problem , be ready to separate them in to many little ones (and hope that they are easier)". Applying his principle , I thought to look inside before catching on to the big picture.

I could remember the days when my mother making my brother and myself sit and study without fail everyday and complete the day's home work and learn(by-heart) the day's class work. It was followed by a half an hour session of Gemini news (24 hour news channels were absent then, so the news were really interesting). What attracted me in that whole news session was their break to show their money making advertisements, but those were not my interest but the question on general knowledge they ask everyday. I could not answer even a single question. My cousin had visited us for few days that time and to my surprise he could answer each and every question accurately and I was compelled to ask "How would you know all this ??" , he simply answered "I am a civil services aspirant and these are must-know for the exam " . That day I thought I should become a civil servant. To be frank, I do not know really what a civil servant does and how to go about becoming one, but I wanted to answer the gemini news questions.

As time grew, my thought of becoming an IAS officer started losing out to hectic SSC examination pressures and later on completely masked in my attempt to get in to the Indian Institutes of Technology. I could succeed in my attempt of becoming an IIT student but my thoughts never went back to becoming an IAS officer.Only person who reminds me of my wish to become an IAS officer was my grand father but after he passed away, the idea never surfaced . My studies at IIT have shifted me far from IAS towards a highly paid job , an MBA from an Ivy-league university , to support my parents as soon as possible.

But my marriage was something which have shifted me back in to the road of becoming a civil servant. My life partner have also had a similar dream but as I did , she never deviated from her path. She was planning her career in that path and her companionship has dusted off my dream to become a civil servant and today, I am in pursuit of my dream and I am glad that I am doing it.

It so happens that you have dreamt of becoming something and meanwhile, many factors have drifted you off your trial. It is also true that these dreams may go un-discovered all through your life, but someday, when you relax over your rocking chair and look back and so happens that you remember your dream. You would feel that place of your heart empty and incomplete. It would be tough to bring about a change , particularly in yourself, but try to bare an inconvenience today and you would not regret that tomorrow.

As Mr.Abdul Kalam said "Dreaming small is a crime", so "Dream big  and follow it big time "

Tolerance - The ingredient missing in the melting pot of Indian Society.

Indian history is itself magnificient and one feature that marks its presence in this grand history is the concept of Tolerance and Endurance. This concept has been associated with India from the vedic age, continued in different forms in different religions and also has been a flag bearer in attempts of Mahatma in achieving Independence of India. But, Do you think the present Indian society has such tolerance and endurance? If mahatma comes back and see how people gets annoyed at slightest inconvenience, at the faintest criticism , he would be apalled seeing how an enduring society as India was could turn in to a country where people are restless, systems are intolerant and the leaders could not face constructive criticism. He would also want us to think about what could be done from a personal point of view and as a group together, Dont you think he does??.

Firstly, Are you convinced that people have become intolerant?? If not, Look around you. You would see people getting annoyed if their pizza is late by 5-minutes or if a child seeking alms ask their generosity when they are busy talking over their phone or if their well-wishers point out that they are following a wrong path or if the people staying in the flat above you have kept their music loud. I do not say that these things are non-irritable but the threshold of tolerating such acts have come significantly down as India developed through its hard times. But, anyone could support this behavior by saying that an average human being has become more and more busy and occupied with work or otherwise and any disturbance to his own could trigger the rage point in one, but as a society develops, so should the maturity of the people living in that society. That would help the particular group to achieve more and more by doing less and lesser. Enough about the problem, What could be a possible solution to this?

Seeking a solution for any problem should start from identifying that the problem do exist. We see the news everyday filled with protests against a person, a group, a state, a nation and even an entertainment attempt in the name of "cinema". Most of us react to these news by questioning ourselves or the people around us "When do people become so intolerant?". But, no one would go beyond that. There are many things that recently I came across which prompted me to write this piece such as -

a.Recent series of protests in Andhra pradesh against different movies based on some identities. There was an instance where a group of people - considered to be the most patient and peace-loving people - went about protesting against the actors/producer of a movie in which they claimed to have shown their community in a negative sense. Important thing here is that we do not want to judge this move by them, but what we should essentially think about is the transformation in our society and how one can help normalise this trend. The big picture !!

b.Growing number of instances where slightest criticism trigger people to indulge in voilence , including people who are supposed to maintain peace in the society.Recently, in Mumbai.

Any change should start form within. What can one do to prevent these?? The following should help.

a. Try to list out explicitly the cases in which you get irritated.
b. Think about why exactly this irritates you.
c. If a reason exists and it is an unreasonable one, Try to think over how unreasonable it is and you would slowly be able to avoid those unwanted scenarios.
d. If a reason exists and it is reasonable according to you, try to explain this to your friends and well wishers and ask them how they would respond. If they too feel the same way, Then propably your response is fine.
e. If there exists no reason. Then take a oath that you would never respond in that way if a similar situation happens again.

It is highly impossible that change would come in short term but once that occurs, it would help you keeping away from many life style disorders both mentally and physically. Once you are tolerant, your family would be and the domino effect would effect our country overall. Hope to see a tolerant India soon !! Jai Hind.

The Twins that were entwined in the existence...

Yes, I am talking about those two persons who have started sharing a quasi-fitting arena happily hugging and comforting each other for about three-quarters of a year in which period they did nothing but to sleep. Finally, they had a little fight on who should be the "Big Brother" and they finally came in to an understanding that, If one wins now, then the one who have won should listen and sacrifice everything else rest of their journey and you would see how always "Rajesh" , the big brother is understanding relatively towards his younger mirror image with slight distortions. People who knows these two, would have already guessed them, Rajesh and Ramesh Vepakommas.

How did they get entwined in to the existence of a bunch of 6-7 people is what I would write today about. I first met them on the very day I met the exciting, beautiful, green IITM campus. As any newbie feels, we were all tensed and excited at the same time. I was with my father and my roommate was with his father and his isomer. I said an awkward "Hi" to start a small talk , I got a "questionable" glare and a bleak "hi??" which sounded more like a question rather than a greeting. Okay, I thought this "introduction" would have its "end" card pretty soon. But I was wrong (un) fortunately.. :) . I was a virtual wing mate in my 1st year at iit to this duo and a real wing mate in the subsequent years and those were the days that have pulled me closer to these guys and subsequently know the subtle personay traits in them.

Today, On the eve of their 26th Birthday , I toast, for being an encompassing support in distress and otherwise , for a critic they were and they will be thats essential in filling the latent drawbacks which were otherwise invisible, for being the agent of heartful of laughs that made the days at IITM feel lighter and pass on in brisk manner, to the stomach aching sarcasm, to the knowledge bank they were of intra institute and outer institute matters, to the boldness they displayed in questioning which others would have let pass without a second thought, the scientific temper they carried in judging any issue at their disposal and finally to the "Child" in them who is as plain as a clear blue sky.

Have a great birthday and glorious years to come Rajesh Vepakomma and Ramesh Vepakomma.

In to our 65th year of Independence...

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action--
Into that heaven of freedom, my father, let my country awake.
-Rabindranath Tagore, In Gitanjali.

This stanza from this great man, portrays a concrete understanding and hope of those who spearheaded the fight for OUR Independence. To this day, even to a
person with little love towards his country gets goosebumps when he reads this stanza and to those people who go deep in and analyse what those lines
exactly meant, It would mean a plethora of Ideas and responsibilities that he is assigned with. Some of us could not recognise these responsibilities while
some of us though have these responsibilities in our cognition, put them in a back burner.

Mind Without Fear : Mind Comprises of Body and Brain. Body needs both internal and external equilibrium to stay fearless. Internally, It would be a fair
statement to say we are less stable than our ancestors and our children would be less stable than us if we do not interfere. Lack of physical workout,
inconsistent eating hours, the domination of fast foods in our diet would all support this argument. Now, it is up to us to set an example to our future
generations, Make it a habit to work out at least thrice in a week, regulate your food intake and try to avoid skipped meals. Externally, one is stable
when there are no threats to the peaceful living in our society. This can be done by avoiding conflicts between two individuals, two groups, two regions,
two states, two countries. In each of the above conflict avoidance, we as the constituents of these conflicts we have a part and that too an active part.
Always keep in a serene mood, learn to forgive, learn to apologise, spread the awareness, follow the norms and be a leader. Other essential component is
that of Brain (i.e) knowledge, it is not possible for everyone to have knowledge on all the things that surrounds us , but keep your self ahead in your own
field also keeping a continous touch with the matters concerning you as a whole, economic interactions in the world, technical, political changes around
need to be hashed upon now and then to keep the brain fearless.

Knowledge is free : It is not.. even after 64 years after these words been spoken. With education totally jumped in to corporate affairs in the modern era,
one finds it difficult to experience this line from tagore. But, You have bought the knowledge does not mean you have to sell it, at least not to the poor
and the destitute who cannot afford to buy. Take time out, Go about freelance writing on your technical, philosophical, daily life knowledge. Go to nearby
schools and try to volunteer to teach them. If we see this statement in a country's perspective, we still buy knowledge from the other countries and it
is not cheap, it accounts to a major chunk in our economy. What we can do about it? Excel in your field, develop the knowledge bank for India and make
India less dependent.

World not been broken : Do I have to say more on this , when as many as 15 regions want to get fragmented? Some of them were successful and some are not,
If these are externally visible fragments, there are internal fragments based on rich/poor, urban/rural , religion, caste and what not? Change should start
from within, and if we, the face of the nation are void of all these differences in the first place, we could always see the change in the surroundings
which may later spread to the entire country.

Words come from depth of truth : Truth has lost its meaning these days, there is not a single person who have not spoken nothing but truth even when
they swears to do so. The buzzword being "Corruption" these days, entire corruption boils down to series of lies that made the liars rich and
every one else poor. No one of us can firmly say that I have not told a lie till today, leave alone to strangers, to even to ones you love the most.
I would also agree to the fact that ,it is highly taxing to survive on truths alone. But lets give it a try, dont you think we should?

Striving towards perfection:: Yes, this brings us to the concept of self-efficacy , this term essentially means that "Be a boss of your work". The best
example is MOTHER. Most of us would see mother's work to be trivial and take it for granted. But as a person herself, after put in to the role of
a mother, she determines herself, Let the heaven fall but I would not make my children sad and She is the best at it. In the role of a mother, every lady
achieves her maximum with the maximum effort that she can give. SHE should be our inspiration.

The next statement essentially says that every person needs to develop Scientific Temperment. Learn to ask why, Do not be afraid to question the obvious
if you feel they are unreasonable. There are many habits(superstitions) in our society that drastically need to be unlearnt. Be a pioneer in questioning
these practices. Learn to reason it out than simply sticking to the flow.

I would not say that even I would follow all of what have been stated above, but nevertheless I would try my best to follow at least few of the above.
Think about them. Tagore have had this dream, not to his benefit but he had a larger meaning of independence in his mind when he wrote this. Give it a
thought, You would realise.. "To simply exist, is not living" again by this great man made me think about all this.

I WISH YOU A THOUGHTFUL AND HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY !!!

An unknown proposal

"Murali..." she called out as I came in to the heavily crowded KFC on a sunday afternoon... "Here.. I kept a seat " she said enthusiastically, I had to cross the heavily crowded 30 meters or so to reach the table she was at , on reaching there, she said .. "you are sweating, let me help you out .." I thought she will reach out in to her hand bag and wipe my forehead.. Instead she took over the tray in my hand.. I thought I was expecting more.
"There are some small things that change how we look on our life , isn't it?" she said looking in to my eyes. " I guess so ... Why do you say that ? "I asked thinking of all the possible reasons she could have thought about. " Nothing, there are a number of such small things that I experienced when I was with you that made me look at my life very differently .." she said looking down on her chicken burger, "I do not know what to say.. But .. you are very special to me and now that you are leaving India .. I feel lost .. Will you be calling me as frequently as you were doing here?" .. I looked at her .. She was looking directly in my eyes .. I know what she was expecting from me .. I feel that way too.. But Its never gonna happen with all the issues in my/her family. I did not want to tell her how I feel about her and disturb her again. She was just being recovering from her past. I could not lie looking in her eyes at the same time. " It may cost more to call that frequently, but ya.. I will surely try .." I said trying to bring the mood a little lighter. " I will miss you " she said , as little drops of water rolled over her cheeks from her eyes.. I do not know why.. but I said " I will miss you too .. do you want me to stay back? " ... " Will you do that for me?" she said with a bright shining in her eyes.

"Here you go .. This is where I say good bye " I said leaving her near her home.. She stood there thinking and staring at me. "Murali, I dont know if its correct to ask you this .. Do you like me?".
I was taken by surprise... " I said , yes , I do .. If it was some girl that I have liked in the recent years, It was you.. but nothing is going to happen between us. Its a no-no all together you know with all the caste thing.. " I said to only see her eyes flooding middle of the road. "Please control yourself ..." I looked around to see the possibility of people mis understanding . " I am sorry , I just wanted to confirm .. " she said and walked even without looking back at me. I thought It was the last time that I would see her after this episode. But, fate has something else in store and I did not knew it .

The happening part of my life !!

It was early in the morning around 4.00 AM, there was a knock at my room door and I hesitated that one of my other room mates would wake up and let our warden in so that he can torture us to get up and get ready and go to study hours ... But to my disappointment, no one got up.. and I had to as the knocking sound was like a heavy thud on my head as my bed was next to the door. I went up cursing all the heavenly shit I know and opened the door .. .. "Oh My god .... Holy shit ...!!! " this was my first reaction as I opened the door... A soft and soothing voice said " Yes son.. I am your god , but i will totally ignore your second statement as I know you did not mean it ... " I was like " Sir... God .. father ... what should I call you ?" ... The voice said " I would answer that later, but I wanted to grant you a wish in the first place .. so, buckle up and wish one " .. I was like ... Is he serious .. then I asked him something that redrawn the curves in my life there after .. Don't judge me .. its my age or you could say my "GUY" campus with no girls made me ask this ... " Hmm.. I need a co education campus for god sake ..." He said " I will grant you that .. not for my sake but for your well being ....or.... not ".. I was like what... when I suddenly woke up from that bizarre dream when my warden woke me up saying " Dude .. you are totally screwed .. its already late and your iit maths professor is so strict on his timings .." .... I went that day running to my class with out even brushing.. who cares ..its all in all a guy campus...

Our maths professor said " Guys, I have an announcement to make ...." I was like " God , are you kidding me ??" ... He then said " You will be having a test on Algebra tomorrow , be prepared ".. I was laughing on my self .. "you idiot .. it was totally a dream.. now shut up and prepare for the exam dumbo.." , later that it day , it actually happened .... which restored my faith on early morning dreams coming true ... It was announced that we , the 44 students of IIT batch will be shifted to the campus where we will be given coaching along with girls ... We heard it as ... " You , the lucky people of 44 in number , will be shifted in to a dream land where you will be given a chance to talk to the females.. every day... " ... The other batches when they knew this were like .." You lucky bas**rds. " and we were like " oh my god .. oh my god ..oh my god .." but every one hid their excitement in the class .. but that totally came out while they are packing.. " they are like ... high with six joints .. and were sweating to go and wash their clothes ..which they never did before... and also IRON them.. you don't know what it means for us in that campus to IRON the clothes. . Its only when " your mother comes " or " the chief minister of the state comes and gives you a neat hand shake " .. not even the sunday colours that would fly in to our campus got this privilege ...

But I was not so pumped up.. I was cool ..except that I arranged my blue shirt and only black jeans ready like 12 hours before and see that no one touches them as they may loose their folds.. it was totally natural.. except that I climbed up and down the stair case like 10-12 times so as to look slimmer .. I was just being health conscious you know... It was totally normal... except that I had all my books covered with clean brown sheet and labelled with mickey's stickers ... I was just being neat .. I was totally normal you know..

And some how the next morning was so far away... We had a discussion where we ended up deciding that we were excited not because there would be some other gender in there..but just that we would be having tough competitors in the name of the girls as they are well known for working hard... we were totally cool.. everyone went to sleep and that day was the only day that every one of us had a SHOWER .... that early in the morning.. We were sort of given a van , which would hardly fit half of us alone.. but we some how did not come in our way of going to a "well competitive" campus. we some how packed in all our luggage and all of us in and bid a good bye to our campus , remembered our friends there and thought ..... " You guys rot in this campus .. we are going to heaven..."

What all happened after that was very interesting for the most part of it.. one and half years in that campus with all of our friends.. some did not like me .. some did.. some I did not like.. some I did.. but every one of them are memorable.. will pen down some interesting situations that took place in that phase of my life in my next blogs.. this blog is already is long .. and i am sure most of you would have been fell asleep..

My Intermediate....

First off, let me tell you why this phase of my life is a very memorable one ... Till my 10th standard, I was kind of childish in my behavior, I did not know the real world ..well not a least bit of it... I had very good friends which I have posted in my previous post and had a well knit small world of my own.
But, when I was stepping out to college for my intermediate ,My father asked me " Are you sure you wanna go to Vijayawada and do this, I am sure our town have good intermediate colleges .. and they are totally into giving you fee exemption based on your tenth marks" .. I was kind of in a neutral mind set about it .. But my mother insisted that I go to Vijayawada for my education. I think that's one of the best decisions made by my mother. This landed me in one of the best cities and my most favorite city that I ever stayed .. Vijayawada ..

All was new and exciting except for the Hostel Food , as on when we were getting tuned in to the hostel frame work and how to deal with the fellow in-mates , We were given "Home sick Leave" , which ironically brought us to square one on the home sick thing... We came back after a refreshing, belly full 15 days with sagging faces and totally weak... More surprise was in store as we came back , we were being shifted to a main campus which is like _million_kms_ from the city and no building more than 8 feet tall in it's 1km radius.. It assumed a deserty look all through the week ... except on sundays when _parents_ come to visit their sons. We all used to dress up so neat and tidy only on that day hoping that a girl (one of our friends sisters or cousins) would turn up as if she will totally come and say " I love you" by just seeing our attire. It never happened :)

Few colorful sundays passed and selection of a hand ful of students , separation of that students from others and giving them a name of "IIT batch" happened in no time .. Most of us dont know what exactly is IIT or a childhood dream (most of the iit ians claim so) of getting in to IIT. Few classes went rather heavily on our brains.. few of them left saying .."What Shit .... I would not screw up my EAMCET coaching owing to this insane IIT coaching ..."

But few of us hanged on.. And today many of us guys feel that its a wrong decision .. but I think the hard work will pay off in some way or other ... Our campus was like in a lush green fields and when you see through the balcony window .. you will find a long stretch of road running perpendicular to the view... It was a night mare(rather, was it ??) for any girl in that area to cross that far stretched road when we were [almost about 700 teenage boys] in our break.. thats between 5.00 - 6.00 PM..

She would constantly listen the whistles from almost all the 8 floor balconies except the ground floor, where our campus officials stay.. kind of a terror zone one could say... If she turns her head sidewards and see our campus .. that's it .she had made mistake of her life .. the intensity of whistles grows and also accompanied by series of comments and questions like " Whats your name?" .. "Will you go out with me ?" .. "Hey , I have some thing to say ..." ........ She could not avoid it by anyway... she cannot switch in to any other road because it was a lone road.. there were some girls who were contrary to the popular behavior.. they used to wave back at us and its night mare for us to decide who was she exactly waving at .... Everybody has their own claims but I positively and whole heartedly think she waved at me :)

It was fun for the few days we lived there .. But more was yet to come and that's where my most beloved friends and my first crush happened ... Will save that for the next blog...

Cheers ,
Ohmi.

Some People come and go ..

"You think I am stubborn .. I felt the same way about you" she said on the phone with a streak of anger and disappointment in her voice... This is all because we could not make it to a _pre_arranged_gathering [Supposed to be a treat from her]..." I called you, but by that time you were not interested " I said in sort of a complaining fashion. "You called me way after the time we decided, and further you did not respond to my calls..." she complained.. "Okay, lets call it even then, next time .. we will surely meet " I tried to make a deal.... "Okay" she said, with a little hesitation.

But the "Next time" did not come , sadly.. I have been to that part of the woods after that 3 times and I did not have time to call her, neither she was interested in enquire when I was going to her place after that.. I am not complaining.. That's what the life is ... For some days, We think the other person is a good friend of you,on the next day .. You think twice before remembering them.. But the times we spend , though short ones will be very memorable.. If on someday, sometime .. If we cross each other, we think ... "Hey, she is the girl .. what's her name .. hmm... " and she is like " He does not even remember me ..."

Its not one's fault , some people are meant to come in to your life and go .. Some people hang on if they really see some potential, healthy friendship with you.. There are many reasons that those *some people* goes away from your life .. may be they are afraid that this is going too fast that could end up in trouble.. may be they think that the other person is not what really perceived them as before...may be she thinks " He is flirting with me .." ... may be they think that "Okay, so ..what if he is from so and so college, and works in so and so company.. I am no less than him...

I am sure the people come in to your life really mean something.. they come in for purpose .. let it be for a short time..But every one has their reason and you will learn unknowingly or knowingly from them.. For all those who came and went in my life including the above mentioned girl... Thanks everyone.. Hope to meet you soon.... You bring smile on me ....

Life Lessons on the go !!

It was little late for me to realise few behaviour patterns which were traditionally idealised by the people in the society are no longer being given their "Traditional Importance" in the modern today.
I tend to double qualify "present tense" with modern today in my previous sentence in my attempt to over qualify society very modern.

First in my list is being nice to everyone. A look in to the society few years back, the quality of 'being nice to people' and 'showing due interest in what the elders/children/equals say' is a #1 sign of an individual well respected in the society. As time flew.. these traits have been losing their stature in the society and are substituted with what I call 'Being a Jerk' and 'Being totally uninterested in other's work expect his own' behaviour. I do not really know why these have been a hit in the modern society but yes.. they are quite famous. So, Be a jerk .. at lease some times.. Don't ever be so modest and thats the worst way to be ... If you have something to say , then SAY it.. whatever it might be.. Don't ever be lessen your self in front of anyone..I have been realising this off late.. may be I have had this experiences before... but i was not able to recognise these.. But in the corporate world that I am in, is feeding this right in to my brain;s medulla oblon..blah blah... Finally Be a JERK.. and in that.. a WISE JERK..

Second one is that.. you do not need to be mother hears_all and hear to whatever crap people say you.. It is quite natural that every person tries to become a Richard Fenyman and starts lecturing you the crappiest advices that they could give. They do not realise that people they are lecturing have had fucking twenty odd years up their ass and fairly seen this world by their own. I do not point out people who give advices .. But I direct my speech (yes, this too is a speech, and I dont realise that you guys have had xyz amount of years up your ass) to those who only give advices.. only advices alone for every thing they do. Come on guys, take a reality check.. Your speeches wants to be heard by NO FUCKING ONES that you are talking to.

Thridly, Many people I come across feels what he does is sent to him by the almighty as a sub process of saving this earth which in turn is a sub process of maintaning almighty his 'post' at the council of angels .. (whatever, I am sleepy)... While other's work as a piece of crap... I dont deny the fact that you are on a great mission of almighty dude.. but do not fucking look upon other works as worthless ones... Come on, grow up.. Before or Later .. you need to do that work too... and I could say only one thing to the guys of this kind.. "COME ON, FUCKING GROW UP ALREADY"...

I do not explicitly know why I am writing this post. .. But , yeah.. writing this and telling this out had given me a good feeling ..... and now Its already late .. and I need to get some sleep....

P.S. All the vocabulary used in this blog should not be treated as abuse...... nahhh.. its what you think... enjoy !!

My First Proposal !!!

"Do you think we should say this now??", Vikki asked me in a worried but energetic tone,"She is busy preparing for her exam and most of all she is not wearing my favourite colour , I think we should skip this to after exams".... I stood there thinking how to face the public examination on the next day .. It was Physics and supposed to be high scoring if prepared and a man-hole if not... I was thinking at least the person beside me would come prepared so that I could do something about it..."Are you listening to me ?? Should we say this now " Vikki brought me down to the reality... I said " What do you see in her dude.. Is she worth getting an 'F' grade in public exams".. He said " I like her so much .. See how she walks with her waving in the wind and did you notice ... She had put on new ear-rings today and they look so beautiful on her ".. I saw her at about a distance of 100 meters or so.. I did not find anything but a girl preparing for her exam...Seriously.. He added to my confusion " I feel She is looking towards me without we noticing her .." How can she? Vikki did not even flip his eye in effect not to miss her... I said "Oh!! Is it?" to encourage him..

He said " If I say and if she does not accept.. what should I do? I cannot do that again obviously...."..... Then he said something which is the root cause for me to write this blog entry.." Murali, Could you ask propose my love ??" .. ''What'' was my first reaction.. I said "No way , I am a born enemy to her and even if she has some feelings for you.. She will simply reject your proposal if I propose your love..." After a few promises of gift givings and sorries I had to agree to that "Mission Impossible"... but HOW?... was the next question..

Obviously, calling her from 100 meters is not an option since we need only her to know about this.. not her parents , the neighbours and almost half of a small street in between.... And to our bad luck, Cell Phones have not been a common gadget that even kids wonder about as now.. Then vikki had an idea.. " How about we shift our reading place much nearer to her house.. I know the granny in the house next to her and we can ask her if we can use it for today to read ".. Vikki said, feeling himself as he kicked the b*** of physics problem in tomorrow's exam... I had to oblige owing to the gifts and to satisfy my need of making the people happy. We moved in to the house next to her house, she still was reading , with out any knowledge of whats going to come..whats being planned around her... She was doing a oscillatory motion from one end of their balcony to other .. One end of her balcony was very near to our new reading adda ..

Everytime she comes to that near side, vikki would push me towards the brim of our balcony and hides himself behind the door... This happened some 9-10 times... when I finally needed to get this over with and read for my exam... "Sangeeta", I called out her name .... She looked all around and finally looked at me.... I did not know what to say.. I thought to say "Never Mind !! Whats portion for tomorrow, thanks" and get back.... But again.. immense need for making people happy.... " I have something to tel you" I said with a lower tone... " What is it? , I need to study" she said... As if We are the only one that dont need to study.... I said ," Look, You know Vikki??"
"Ya, My neighbour .. Whats up with him?" She enquired
"Nothing, Its just that HE loves you and want to know how you feel"

She could have
a) Call everybody at home and tell about us being such a jerks,
b) called each of her friends and let them know that she is popular too among boys
c)Thrown the 5kg book she was reading at me puncturing my nose
d) Unlikely thing of accepting his love and thus relieving me of my burden...

She chose none of the options , She laughed mysteriously, I thought she is in favour of option(d)... but She said " Him.. (chuckles), Whenever I see him, I will be reminded of my bro.. How could I??" That was enough... I thought I would now never want to see his face after hearing those and how hurt he was... She was continuing her speech.. but "vikki" was only in mind, I was thinking of what's gonna happen with him now... Finally I said " OKay.. Please go back to your reading, c ya " .. and turned back with out noticing her reply..

Vikki was not behind the door anymore.. I was frightened... Whats he gonna do to himself ??? I ran all over the town forgetting about my examination... after a gruelling half an hour...Saw him peacefully sitting at an ice cream parlour... eating my favourite strawberry flavour... I went in and took his remaining ice cream forcefully and said " You should have at least said me".. He was quiet.. I took a spoon of ice cream and asked "How about now?" .. He said " I dont know, She will always be in my heart "...

We both could pass the physics exam and She DID NOT stay in his heart after a month or so.. He had another girl in his life soon after that and what happened with her is another issue.. But for now.. This was my first proposal to a girl about love.. but it was not mine... MY LOVE PROPOSAL.... hmm.. will save that for later....

Vikki, may be that incident and that girl was the foundation for our friendship.. if it was not for her and your love about her..we could not have gone through all this in our life , best friends as of now.. so three cheers to her...

The Day when I got a crack in my skull !!!

That day was quite memorable to me, My life now would have been a lot different if I was not in Hyderabad that day or I did not decide to drive 200 kms on a bike to reach a friend's wedding or had quit dieting and had some food in the morning or .... there are many if and buts.. but ultimately it happened and I want you to present this in a way inspired from many sources , Vantage point for instance.

It was 6:00 AM on that day ...... Siri's version...

"Should I get up? Should I go if it mean that I should get up this early? .. I will say Murali and Chaitu that I am sick and may be stay back.. but Imrose? .. hmm.. let me sleep for some more time...

"Oh man ! Murali is such a pain in the *** when it comes to following timings.. "Yeah, getting up"... I saw he already got dresses up , now is the real torture.. Its okay that I dont bath now , I will do that after I reach Karimnagar.. He planned this trip in one bike and three persons should survive this trip for 200 kms with out any police mamas catch us..

Oh!! We can get another bike, cool.... I need to fag man !! My day does not start without it. . .

Finally, We are starting at 11 AM, donno when we reach the place, I will take a single bike and allow Chaitu and Murali to come in the other one.

Murali is trying to lead me in this virtual, unsaid bike race, Let me speed up.. "reii.. come fast" .....I need a fag again.. may be not now.. should lead Murali..

Oh, what happened, they fell down, its bound to happen, else why Murali is speeding up as much as me.. See Chaitu, he is getting up to cover that nothing has happened.. but I can see blood on his hands.. Should see what Murali got himself in to..

"Murali, Murali... Get up.... Chaitu, What's happening to his face, its swelling up and what is that white stuff coming out of his mouth as if he is poisoned.... Now he is shivering too " .. I wish I would not have gone that fast...

We are already in tension, who is this guy , stammering in the crowd about the person on the other bike , that's me .. and F*** Y**.. If Murali would have been at least conscious, I would have kicked his b*** ..... Ya, 108 is the best option... let me call.. By that time, it may get late, Muralis face is now unrecognisable, what about his girl friends ... f*** me, he is in danger and I am thinking about his girls...

"Get him to the nearest hospital and get a first aid, Hyderabad is 60 Kms away ".... some one utterred

Thats a good idea, I will call the auto... and what about the bikes.. look all the people waiting as foxes wait for their prey.. I will let chaitu take him and do something with the bikes...
"Chaitu mama, go with him in auto"...........

It was 6:00 AM on that day ...... Chaitu's version...

"What about the match score... Siri is always on the computer and I could not check the scores.. I hope Liverpool wins... I may loose my face in front of all my friends....

What now ??? Siri wants a fag.. this guy, why do everyone smoke.. can i make some inference.. this may help my CAT this year... I think Murali's idea of going three in one bike is awsome.. whats a life with out a adventure..

Oh.. Murali is changing the plan.. He is getting to get a bike, okay , let both of them go and get the bike, I will play chess .. it helps me in CAT....

We started at 11 PM, Oh, Man... I am so excited .. now its like a puzzle on how fast we need to go.. I am loving this.. I will get in to Murali's bike... He is a safe driver... (oops...) Murali is trying to speed up on par with Siri.. our speed is crossing 100 and Siri's is in between 100 and 110 .. can I make some puzzle out of this.. I guess so..

BANG !!!

Ohh... What just happened... I am sure now that we fell down from the bike, siri is gonna make ultimate fun out of this.. better I get up and cover it away... "oh, god.. I am bleeding.. but lets not show it to Siri..." Why Murali is not getting up?? His face.. his body is all shaking.. Its not happening.. What should we do?? Is this the end.. what he dies here.. .. NOO....

Let me carry him to the hospital, i think its not possible... let me ask some one advice.. I dont think I should... I dont know whats going on my mind.. Is this really happening... Crap !!!

Yeah, I will go with him in the auto... I hope he will be okay....

It was 6:00 AM on that day ...... Murali's version..

" I should not have done that ... yesterday... " Oh, man.. but If I go to Singapore, will the relation hold .. will this ever be success....Okay, first things first.. let me have some breakfast... I am fuc*** hungry.... oh..whats this...?? T-shirt is little tight for me.. It was okay yesterday.. Okay, so I should not eat.. let me adjust with a coffee... Siri wont come anyway.. lazy head.. Will ask chaitu to come with me..

First things first, Is my decision to go 3 in one bike safe.. what if some police catch us.. Forget about money,It will be late for Imrose bhai's marriage... Let me ask amar if he can arrange one.. I know he always has a plan.. ..... Oh..It worked !!! I am getting the bike.. now its safe.. we can go on 2 bikes quite comfortably....

Oh,this bike took lotta time ... it s always 11.. we cannot go as promised to Imrose bhai... Hmm.. may be he is too busy that he wont remember us in all his marriage celebrations...Anyway.. lets start...

Siri is going very fast.. I should keep up with him.. but this bike is not keeping up .. why is he stopping.. oh.. fag !!!! He is so thin that we can take a photo of him and say its a X-ray.. why does he still smokes.... Why chaitu is so calm... Is something in his mind.... Did I do something on which he may be thinking....

So, its now 60 kms done and 140 more...we took almost 1 hour for this 60... Whats happening.... why is the handle shaking.. am I losing control on the bike... I should not have crossed 100...Am I going to die... What happens with her??...................... BLANK .......... BLANK..........

After 1 and half hour from the blank...

What happened..?Wheres chaitu?? Is he okay??? Why is everyone around me? Did I crash in to something? whats with the bike....

"Take him this way to neuro centre...."
What's wrong with me... why to Neuro centre.. Will my brain be affected.. why are they taking off my clothes... Will they operate on me...whats so painful all over my face.... Whats this film of blackness spreading in my eyes.. am I being given anaesth ...e ...si..a.........

It took 7 days to get out of hospital and much more to overcome that incident for me.. It had left me late for my joining date in Singapore.. Which made all the difference .. If that would not have happened.. I would not be in my present job, I would not been in India.. I would not have those people with me who cares me most.. I would not have realised what friends are and how much your parents care for you after that incident...

Thanks to SIRI and CHAITU for being a such a support.. Love you guys...

Yours truly

Future of Money Transactions....

From the time we started barter system, Till today Money( Mode of Exchange) almost ruled people. Money is one product that we have created for our convenience and that has outgrown from the stage of convenience to a must need. Its more like a Beautiful Girl friend..We are happy that it is with us, but we are always tensed not to lose her and even some.. to get a more beautiful girl friend...

ATMs , the major slide in banking and how people deal with money.. Before their existence, we had to face the problems of long queues , angry bankers, forms .etc. .. One thing that ATM has helped us is with amount of "time".. I write this blog to speak out my idea of how the money transactions may turn in the near future.. Now even with the ATMs we face the queues, there are robberies .. I looked in yesterday's paper where they carried away the total ATM of around 30 Kgs... All this will lead to newer ways to implement money transactions.. I present my musings in the subsequent blog....

1) ATM@H:: Lets say that the time in which this gets implemented, There is no notion of Currency with customized National emblem on one side, mahatma to the other side to a note... There will be the concept of "e-money", Where the technology will be developed so much that there is no way the e-money can be generated by any other means except from the RBI's web site. The "e-money" can be accessed from the individual's bank site which in turn hits the RBI's web site.
There will still be the concept of accounts, where in people can access and deposit their money. An individual will have a web interface in which he can generate his money (any denomination with a universal limit of min and maxx of course). While going out for the work, he gets in to the site and print his amount and carry it.. It will just be like our "e-ticket". This should explain the concept of Automatic Teller Machine @ HOME (ATM@H). Below is a pictorial representation of the concept we just took a look......

2. ATMA:: (Automatic Teller Machine Anywhere)...
Gadgets are the fast growing products in the world.. The time we were talking comes when a person does his work mostly through his gadgets... Now wat's ATMA.. This will be a chip/add on for the mobile with this, you can print out the e-Money anywhere and at anytime.. The chip/add on will be provided by individual bankers and the money you generate will follow the same rules as your e-money. This is "t-money"(Telephonic money).. The cell phone will generate a slip which will be counted as your money.

These 2 things may be a long stretch, but there are no surprises even if something of this happens in the near future.. I understand the amount of technology and cryption that should be integrated with this idea to make it work.. But, Just a Musing............

My Friends -- @School

Hi Guys,

I get the feeling that as the age of a person increases the number of friends he could potentially make keeps decreasing too. Its true with me.. and there could be many friends, but finally there would be only a few (closer to our heart) who remain always in your life in your hard and fun times... I want to acknowledge few of such of my friends in this blog. I will start with my Childhood friends , The order is by the time when I know them.....

Sreenath

This guy would be the most handsome guy in our batch. This guy is the first one to get settled(With a job and a girl friend both) in our batch.... I know him from my 3 rd class. I used to beat this guy even till we were in tenth class. He used to make some comments on me and I used to beat him well. Sorry ra... I know it was for fun.. I could not resist saying You deserved them... He never say YES to anything we propose first time.. after a few pleadings and few threatening that he finally agrees to some. Very popular with girls wherever he goes.. In school, college now at work and even out side work..... He sometimes annoys junta with out replying to them but as I said he wants junta to feel that he is quite busy.. Three cheers to this guy for his hardwork and proper planning....

Satish Kumar

Satish.. The best sportsman of our group that I can claim of.. I know him along with Sreenath when we were in Class 3. I still remember him coming to the school with big bag and hair combed pretty well with a tonne of coconut Oil. He comes to the class with some questions on the subject even from the entrance to the class. He perfectly balances his academic, sports and cultural portfolio that I feel I need to learn from him. One side of him I feel which he never brings out is "How Satish deal with the females".. Dude any insights man?? One more thing, whenever I see chiranjeevi's "Chantabbayi" movie.. I remember this guy for his humor which resembles the comedy of chiru in that movie.. I always claim that .. but he always declines.. Dont you think guys....

Three cheers to this guy for his Hardworking nature and athletism...

Amarnath (Simply Amar)

I should say this guy is the one in our batch who faced many tough challenges in life than any of us. He still keeps his smile going. Your "Go To" guy for anything you want. Especially, me.. He supports me in any kind of situation and say Yes to anything people ask. I should say the most courageous guy in our batch. I know him only a little in my first days in school. I dont know how our friendship grew so much that he is on my top list of friends. I sometimes feel that he does somethings with out any thought.. But hey, Its my opinion. Amar, take the life as it comes... with a pinch of thought on the future.

Three cheers to his Courage and Friendship he shows...

Bhavani Shankar

This guy left our hometown when we were in Engineering college. Eventhough, after that he met us only few times. This guy is remembered by everyone of our batch as good sportsmen and who lends a helping hand to whom ever asks him. After seeing him recently, I think I would be correct to say that he is the Best body builder in our group :)

He and me came in to the school at the same time and he became close to me within a matter of days. Our bond acquired its strength while playing cricket matches. This guy bats pretty good. reminds of Raina in the Indian team. And also.. I am in debt with him of 60 Rupees.. Dude will give them back as soon as I can.(:P)

Vishnu ( a.k.a Dumbu)

The person who takes anything lightly.. I have never seen him in a serious mood till now. Very fun loving guy. Now turned a business man... Every bodys hope is that he will be the wealthiest guy in our batch.. He sees his happiness in the work he do and tries very hard to decrease his weight. (:)) .. You are not any over weight dude... He bowls very well and even bats good with a condition that RUN OUT is now allowed. He is BEST PRACTICAL GUY in our batch.....

Dude.. You rockk man...Revanth

This guy is an angry young man while playing Cricket.. I never want to be an Umpire/opposing captain while he is in the other team.. Oh my... He takes even a normal match to his nerve and for maximum, his arguments involves that he is wrong but he still manages to win them. Other than cricket he is a cool guy to hang out with. He is the best Captain of our batch I should say.. He joined me in the school at the same time and we started our friendship with me going to his home after tiresome matches. From there on, we never looked back.. I think he is one of the valuable guys in our batch that we never want to leave...

Cheers man.. for Your Arguments !!
Varun

I met this guy very recently after a gap of i think 9 years... He feels the very same with I met him in the school.. Even Physically and mentally.... He talks with the same feel that we shared in our past. To be frank, We were never that close before in our school but even then he greeted me with warmth that any of my close friends do and Now he has become one in our batch.. he always is... The Only guy in our batch in US till now. Has a lot of following with the females .. Dude.. Keep going .. All the best....

Sathwik a.k.a Bakkodu a.k.a Kodi

I left this guy to the end of my blog that I can write an infinte amount of info about him.. Propably he is the person who think he is the most matured guy in our team.. He also adds up in the list of Settled quota with Sreenath (in terms of Job and Girl friend(s)). I dont know If I helped anything in his love and but I hope I did not hurt his love. I am very sorry dude, If I have done something knowingly/un knowingly to hurt your relation. We used to read together for our 10 th examinations..But not because we wanted to study . But for some other reasons which I could not disclose in here.. We remember the night before "Science exam public 10th" till today...

Cheers for your Elderly thinking dude.. You have grown up really...,

AND FINALLY YOURS TRULY..... Muralidhar.... K......

Guys, I think my life would not be given a Complete certificate with out you all in my life. I really mean this... Thanks to everyone..

I will post my set of friends who are dear to me (Inter && LT) in my next post..

Cheers......

Freedom?? Believe it or not .. its very hard to define...

Hi .. I will continue with my visit to Gurukul in my subsequent blogs.. but let me tell you today something about Freedom... Okay, Who am I to tell abt it? Am I a national leader or even a street leader?? Oh..God .. No !!! .. I am not..and I am happy for that...

In each and every organisation as soon as Independence day comes.. there will be notices hanging around in the hall ways.. "What's Freedom to you ? Tell us using an essay/photos .... blah.. Essay shud only be written in A4 sheets.. Photos shud be clean and neat and blah..

Okay.. Freedom to me is to write my essay in any screwed up paper I want.. I will write it in my passport or in the toilet paper If I like to.. That's freedom to me.. And the photo. I will put up a torn , scrappy one.. Its my wish and Its my freedom.. anyways.. Let me explain what I feel freedom means... It really differs from person to person and age to age...

Lets say .. An infant .. He wants to catch what ever he sees and taste it while mothers(they often take care of their babies these days)/care takers stop them from doing.. for them.. thats abstruction of their freedom..

A 5 year kid..just started his schooling..Do not want to go to school and sit , listening to god-for saken lessons that their boring ever teachers teach..He wants to run around the street.. fall down.hide it from his parents.. this is his thought of freedom..

I was in my 5th class when I was sent to hostel ... I never felt I would miss my home and parents that much until My dad waved his hand from far... leaving me in the hostel...I started running towards my dad .. crying.. shouting..Dad.. I dont wanna be here..let me come with u.. please.. I felt a strong hand pulling me in to the hostel and asking my dad to leave and he will take care of me.. I felt I was not given what I want.. I really wanted to be with my parents..but.. Freedom to me those days is to get out of that hostel and go back to my mom..

Look at a 10th class kid.. The youngest weight lifters of our country come from the 10th class students of a highly reputed high school.. They get up 5 in the morning( I wish I wasn't there) and go to tutions..come bac ..go to school and what not to get the marks on the paper.. Those kids need some entertainment,, they are not allowed to go to a movie or a get together of the family.. That's freedom to them.. They are denied of it.

I was in my early teens.. Those were the days I was in my most crucial period of my life " 2 years to JEE".. Oh..God .. We had a Co-Education college.. but boys are not supposed interact with girls or vice-versa.. Only interaction was like this... Boys-> Boys Warden ----------> Girls Warden -> Girls...

As I mentioned It was an age when every person is attracted to his/her opposite sex and there we are.. with a wall between us and we cannot even talk.. Further..being a residential campus.we used to think..once if these rules are removed..How nice that would be...That's freedom for us those days...

Now I am a graduate in making ... Now I can talk to anyone I want.. I can bunk classes.. I can go to movies.. I can do anything I want.. except I shud be careful about the boy friends/brothers/parents of the Girls I talk.. Careful about the eye sight due to excess movie watching ... careful about 75% attendance... For me freedom is .................... I dont know.. I wish I knew it when I was a kid.. When I was sent to hostel.. When I was in residential campus.. NOW.. But we always realise it when we leave that phase of the life ..that we needed something then..we were not self-contended then,,,but donno why.. Its how the life works.. if you have somethings.. there will always be some others u wish u had..and others u dont know but U wish U had...

Freedom is not simple.. Freedom is not to be taken for granted. Freedom lies within .. deep in our hearts.. Freedom is a state of mind.. state of heart.. and what not..

Visit to Sivananda Gurukul...

Hey guys .. after many days ... huh???
Yeah..been busy with relocation from bangalore to chennai and oof... You know how tiring these starting of new semesters will be.. anyways.. today we shall go sligh in to mood of social concern .....

As the Bright Big letters above already suggest you that I am gonna tell you about my visit to a gurukul .. basically it was a multi-faceted ashram with orphange , oldage home, vocational training centre and what not !!

I started at around 9 from my room and damn with these insti buses (they went to cost cutting and decreased the frequency ) I caught one @10 , time the other members of our team visiting fixed up to meet @tambaram(a station in chennai). Came out of IITM and caught an auto to guindy and when i got down at guindy there was a big queue for the local train... I never seen such a long queue in any other local stations. I stood in the line and thought what if I was a MLA with people around me .. I could have taken the tickets trespassing all these junta. " Idiot ... dont have manners" in tamil brought me back to real life and these words are from a elderly woman infront of me who was annoyed by me looking at her (actually I was not, I was having my MLA day dream). I apologised in little tamil I know and I am sure she dint care. Looks like she wanted someone to pour her anger on her husband on to... and I was there .... What a idiotic dream I thought.. If I was an MLA.. I would have taken a car.. am I not??

My team mate called me 3 times before I reached the tambaram station, why would not she ? I have kept them waiting for 1 hour. Finally I reached and since we were new to one another, we resorted to a way of dress recognition . She found me very fast, Yeah..she is a data analyst. I had no worries recognising her, Thanks to Orkut. There were one more team mate of us.. looking like she was thinking...."Okay, So he is the jerk kept us waiting..." I get lot of these :) We introduced one another and after half an hour we are in front of the Ashram.

Its very funny how sometimes very un noticed people becomes ultimately powerful.. We saw the asram gates closed and after peeking inside I found a watch man , a typical big bellyed , elderly person.. looking at us like we are accused in his court of law. We asked to open the gate.. he said "adakjdakld" thats what we cud hear. and my little tamil was in no position to talk to this guy.. I have my team mates and they shud not think I am a useless guy...I stood there just waiting for his re action and wished it would be fast..... He said again "adadfnakfnka" ... Then out of his talk .. I got a word that I know ... "donation" ... I said donation back to him again for some n times with my head nodding in a funny way.. He let me in.. Wow.. I felt I cleared the JEE again..

Will complete this in the next blog.. Its time to Lunch .. Bye u guys...

WHAT'S IN THE NAME ??

Today I was reading TOI and I saw this beautiful heading saying.." There's nothing in a name unless your a missile". May be this drove me to write this blog today. I will tell you what .. There is lot in the name...

Start with my name .. Muralidhar .. One who wears a Murali(Flute). It means "Lord Krishna" who according to me is the biggest business brain ever. He is not only popular for his strategies but also for his Romance. Here I am.. with his name and I dont know about the strategies part but its very evident by now for me that I am very good at one of the areas in which Krishna has excelled. [;)]

There is a reason that I named my blogs as Shades of Life Revealed. There will be no person known, who dont have a multiple personality Syndrome. If one personality is operating a man , all the others would be his shadows waiting for their turn to come. I want to know more about these personalities of me throught these blogs. There's the reason I put the name SoLR for this Blog series.

Some of the names I came across a website and Found them Funny..

1.M.T.Head --> H.O.D in a University (Seems Only M.T's make their way up to HOD's)
2.David Sparks, is partners with Rich Burns and they sell fire insurance.(They shud have had a One hell of a business)
3.
There is a Dr.CockBurn ,a urologist . (No Comments Please !!).
4.
Someone else sent me this: "My aunt's name is Debra May Page and she married Patrick Dye, so now she is called Debra May Dye!! Lol!!"
